The Myanmar eVisa is an official electronic travel authorization that allows citizens of eligible countries to enter its territory. It was introduced on September 1st, 2014. The eVisa for Myanmar is processed within 3 working days. The visa is valid for a period of 90 days from the day it was issued. How Do I Get a Visa for Myanmar?
Getting the official online visa for Myanmar is a fairly smooth process. The electronic system was implemented to simplify the way foreign visitors get a visa to travel to Myanmar. The online application eliminates the need of going to an embassy or consulate. Instead, eligible travelers can complete their application from anywhere in the world.
Travelers who wish to visit Myanmar will need a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of arrival. Besides a passport, applicants will need an email address where the eVisa for Myanmar is sent to once approved. After filling out the application form, it is necessary to pay the online visa fee with a debit or credit card.
The Myanmar eVisa application can take up to 3 business days to process. Once approved, the eVisa will be sent to the applicant’s email and they will be able to print a copy to present at a port of entry.
